(CNSNews.com) – The American people apparently do not share the liberal media’s obsession with alleged Trump-Russia “collusion,” Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) indicated on Tuesday.
Appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Cassidy was asked if the “whole Russia investigation” was “getting in the way” of Senate business:
“Best as I can tell, not at all,” Cassidy replied:
I’ve had three town hall meetings, two last week and then a telephone town hall last night, and not a single question came on Russia. It’s all about health care, the economy, national flood insurance program where Louisiana will get some help with flooding.
I was just struck listening to your program beforehand — in a telephone town hall and in two town hall meetings, not a single question about Russia. I’m not sure that that’s (getting) as much play in the Senate or at home as on TV programs.
Host Joe Scarborough asked Cassidy: “Are you concerned about Don Jr. and other members of the Trump campaign meeting with Russian lawyers claiming to be representatives of the Russian government or claiming to be part of a bigger plan for the Russian government to influence the presidential election?” Keep reading
