Planned Parenthood’s survival is more important than the lives of the aborted children, right, Nancy?
Excerpted From CNS News: On Wednesday, the recipient of 2014 Margaret Sanger award from Planned Parenthood said, “Whose political survival is more important than the lives of these children?”
Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) made the comments on the House floor while speaking about gun control. Pelosi said it was “too politically dangerous” for some lawmakers to vote for more gun control legislation.
Earlier in her floor speech Pelosi said, “We have a little time to save lives- what more important thing does any of us have to do to than to stay here and pass a law that will save lives. If somebody said to you, ‘you could save 90 lives by passing a bill today’ – wouldn’t you do that? Or, why wouldn’t you do that?”
In 2014 Planned Parenthood recognized Pelosi with the Margaret Sanger Award.
“Rep. Pelosi was instrumental in the passage of the Affordable Care Act. During the health care reform debate she led her colleagues in Congress as they stood strong against attempts to insert the Stupak abortion ban into the bill,” Planned Parenthood says on their website. “Against tremendous odds, she delivered the necessary 219 votes to send the bill to President Obama’s desk.” Read the whole thing
