Fresno State Professor Won’t Be Returning To Classroom After “Trump Must Hang” Tweet

Excerpted From The Los Angeles Times: A history professor at Fresno State University who tweeted that President Trump “must hang” will not be returning to teach in the fall.

University President Joseph Castro said in a statement Friday that Lars Maischak, an American history instructor, wouldn’t be teaching when classes resume.

But Castro said two of Maischak’s courses would be converted to an online format to fulfill a contractual obligation.

Excerpted From The Daily Caller: “Has anyone started soliciting money and design drafts for a monument honoring the Trump assassin, yet?” Maischak asked in another since-deleted statement, first reported by The Daily Caller News Foundation in April.

“Dr. Lars Maischak, Fresno State History lecturer, will not be teaching this fall,” said Castro in a Friday statement. “In accordance with California State University, Fresno’s contractual obligation, Dr. Maischak has been assigned to convert two courses to an online format which meets his unit requirement per the faculty collective bargaining unit agreement.”

The school president mentioned that the two courses will meet the Quality of Online Learning and Teaching Standards set forth by California State University. Maischak’s “contractual assignment” finishes December 20, 2017 and his contract expires in May 2018. Read the whole thing
